Per Andreas Blech,
"To get the record straight. Region 10's Jan 19th Oceano fly-in had 37 Grummans (plus 2 non-Grummans) and 59 people attend. SW region people on my email list look for a detailed newsletter shortly. Thanks to all who attended.

PS Greg Sincock won the raffle (again !?), but Carolyn Brown "made" him give it "all" back for the scholarship.
Thanks Gre...ah Carolyn"

This was taken just after the Santa Ana Grumman flight took off from John Wayne airport. Seen here is Vi Bui's "Tiger Lady" (N505).

Vi's "Tiger Lady" is seen here in loose formation heading up the California coast to Oceano. The other two guys in our flight of four thought it was an air race and are long gone, never to be seen again! {;-D

It was moderately exciting to see a C-130 coming towards us while decending through our altitude.

Here's the Savage's (Jan, Daren & Dan) Tiger (N7467B). The tiger on the cowl was a Christmas present and a big hit with the other Grumman owners.

Sorry guys (and gals), my page, I get to put two pictures of our airplane.

Here's Ken Finley's Tiger (N254) which he recently bought. The final total of the day for the SNA based Tigers was 6.

This is Bob Milligan's Cheetah (N26294) and it was a beauty! Something usually only seen on the cover of Hot Rod magazine.

Here's a shot of Bob's engine in his Cheetah. Very pretty indeed!

Here's a closer photo of Vi Bui's "Tiger Lady" (N505).

Here's Mike Crisafulli's Tiger. Another beauty inside and out. Fast too!

I didn't get this Yankee (N1632R) owner's name, but he was one of the earlier arrivals.

Here's another Yankee (N39022) whose owner I missed out on. Sorry again!

A nice Cheetah (N26793). This is getting embarassing.

Here's the Tiger (N45252) flown in by Carolyn Brown and Greg Sincock (see, I remembered). Greg was the lucky winner of the raffle.

This Tiger (N13GT) sporting Navy colors was flown in by Chuck and Brandy Curtis.

This is Colin Perry and Penny Staffanou's Tiger (N28631).

The crowd was an ever present fixture at Travis Grey's Tiger (flown in by Gary Vogt of AU Country). Fresh out of the engine and interior shop, heading into the paint shop very soon.

Here's one of the main reasons for the crowd around Travis' Tiger. What a panel! Warning, the full-sized image is a large one!

Here's Jan Savage in front of his Tiger (yeah I know, shameless self-promotion).

Dan Savage on the right, Daren on the right. Still confused?

Looking down the flightline at half of the Grummans present.

This flight of two gave those present a very welcome low pass to peal-off. Great job guys!

Seen here is the lunch crowd at the Rock and Roll cafe near the airport. The food was good and the company great!

We about gave the staff a heart attack when they asked how many in our group and we told them 25-30 (separate checks, of course!).

This is looking from the east end of the parking area of the 37 Grummans who've taken over Oceano Airport.

After lunch and everyone's thinking about getting home. This picture was taken from the east end of the runway.

Here's a pretty picture of Vi's Tiger in formation on the way home.
